10 places for exploring Glamping in India

Most of us have not heard about the term, Glamping. This basically refers to camping in a very glamorous way. This basically related to camping in a very luxurious manner, in deserts, mountains, farms and even on the beaches. India offers many places where one could enjoy glamping. We have 10 places where you could enjoy glamping. Lets us know more about these places.
Ladakh we all known is located in the high altitude and is considered to be an amazing glamping destination. There are several places which can be visited in Leh. The Nubra Valley is located only four hours from Leh, and you could enjoy the new alpine desert camp which offers camel safaris. The Pangong Retreat Camp has close to 20 luxury tents which have been set right in the middle of Pangong Tso Lake in Maan Village. One can also visit the well-known Tsermang Eco Camp which has 8 luxury tents.
There are plenty of glamping opportunities available in the desert of Jaisalmer. Most of the tents here are located close to the Sam Sand Dunes. People enjoy going in for a camel ride for seeing the beautiful sun set. The Serai is one such place where camping certainly looks more glamorous. One can see 21 large canvas tents which have been built on a base of Jaisalmer stone. These are all spread in an area of 30 acres of desert scrub
If you are fond of birds then you should visit the Ummaid Bagh. This is located a couple of kilometers from Bundi in Rajasthan. One can see 15 air conditioned luxury tents which are set up on a living farm which is owned by Maharaja Rajendra Singhji of Dugari. All the tents overlook a lake, and are surrounded by landscaped garden and mountains.
If you would like to stay in Orchard Tents & peace then Pushkar in Rajasthan is the place to be in. 5. Ranthambore National Park
The Ranthambore National Park offers many interesting opportunities for glamping. The Oberoi Vanyavilas is by far the best here. One can find more than 25 tents all of these are polished in hardwood floors, have four-poster beds, and freestanding bathtubs. Other luxury tents are those offered by Ranthambore Bagh, Khem Villas, Sher Bagh and Aman-I-Khas.
If you want to indulge in glamping on the beach then there’s no place better than Goa. The Marbella Beach Resort is located on the Morjim beach offers 12 extremely chic luxury tents, a spa and fashion boutique. The “yantra tents" are located in a in a lush coconut grove. Towards South Goa, the Cola Beach tented resort has seven luxury tents on the beach which have been decorated inside with Rajasthani handicrafts.
7. Wayanad, Kerala
The Wayanad district of Kerala has quite a lot of glamping opportunities to offer. One can see only five luxury tents on the property. These have been set up on a 3 acre area which overlooks a coffee, nut and pepper plantation. One can indulge in activities like rafting, hiking, and Ayurvedic . You get yummy home cooked food too.
While in Punjab you could visit the Citrus County and Prakriti Farms. The Citrus County is located in the Hoshiarpur district, and there are four rooms and nine luxury tents, along with a swimming pool, cafe, and bar. Prakriti Farms is located at a distance of 1 hour from Chandigarh. There are two types of tents offered here which are the safari tents which has common bathrooms and the Swiss tents with attached bathrooms.
9. Kanha National Park
The Kanha National park has many resorts which offer luxury tents, perfect for glamping. The well-known ones are the Shergarh Tented Camp which has only six luxury tents, located right next to the Mukki entrance of the park. The Banjar Tola Kanha is a Taj safari property which has 18 luxury tented suites; all tents have wide glass doors which lead on to the private decks overlooking a river.
10. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
The Binsar Retreat is located at an altitude of 7,600 feet right in the heart of the untouched wilderness, in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary near Almora in Uttarakhand. One can drive for almost 10 hours from Delhi or travel by overnight which will take three hours. There are five tents which have attached bathrooms, and provide running cold water, and buckets of hot water are available on request. The best view is offered by tent #1; one can see the jungle and Himalayan snow peaks.
