Everyone enjoys visiting Amusement parks irrespective of the age group. There are many amusement parks located all over India. Let us explore a few good amusement parks all over the country.
1. Wonderla Bangalore
Wonderla is a world-class amusement park which is located at a distance of 30 kms from Bengaluru, on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway. The amusement park is very well maintained and is very clean too. There are more than 50 rides out of which 12 are water rides and nine are meant especially for kids. Another interesting feature of the park is the Rain Disco, which is an indoor dance floor which has psychedelic laser lights along with a rain system which provides showers of warm water. The music is choreographed. There is an entry fee for adults and children. The entry timings are from Monday to Friday 11 a.m. till 6 pm and on holidays and weekends it is open till 7pm.
2. Wonderla Kochi
The Wonderla Kochi also known as Veegaland earlier is located in Pallikkara, at a distance of approximately 15 kilometers from Kochi in Kerala. One can find as many as 40 rides and attractions in this amusement park. There are four different types of rides which are meant for the kiddies, Family, Water, as well as Hair Raising. There is a boat journey which takes you in a cave full of mystery which is followed by a splash down into a crystal clear pool. There is a 3D movie theater here too. There is an entry fee for adults and children. The park is open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m on Monday- Friday and on Saturday, Sunday, Holiday and Festival seasons till 7pm.
3. Kingdom of Dreams
The Kingdom of dreams is located in sector 29, in the Millennium city of Gurgaon. This is very new and one can enjoy many leisure and entertainment related activities here. There are many cultural as well as performing arts activities conducted here. The main attraction is the Culture Gully, which is an elaborate crafts, arts and culinary boulevard in which many artists perform The entry ticket is priced at Rs 700 rupees, of which 600 rupees is redeemable on food. The place is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 1 p.m. until 1 a.m.
4. Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City is located around 25 kilometers from Hyderabad, in Andhra Pradesh. This is a very big film studio complex in which many Indian movies are made every year. One can also see a theme park which has many entertaining rides for the kids also. Adults have to pay an entry fee of Rs 400 rupees and children pay Rs 350. This is open every day from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
5. Essel World & Water Kingdom
Essel World was considered to be the first amusement park in India and is located in Gorai, in the outer North West suburbs of Mumbai. There are more than 30 rides besides a water kingdom park, ice skating rink, bowling alley, and an Aqua-drome dance floor. The main attraction is the frightening new Monsters in the Mist dark ride, which is apparently the first of its kind in India. The park is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m on weekdays and is open till 8pm over the weekends.
