The Ahar cenotaphs are spread around the point from the Aravali mountains start and these have mainly been placed to honor the spirit and the bravery of the former Maharajas of the kingdom of Mewar. As you visit this place you will see more than 250 cenotaphs which have been placed here and one can see the delicate carvings along with the complex inlay work. The place is a must visit and should be definitely a part of the travel itinerary as you visit the city of Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The AharCenotaphs are located at a distance of 2 km away from the north of the Udaipur city.
You could also visit the Ahar museum which showcases a lot many numbers of antiques as well as excavations which go back to the 10th century is also located in the Ahar cenotaphs. You might it a little strange that no attendants are here as the place is not visited by many people. There is so much to be seen and observed in this place. For visiting this place you would be required to hire an autorickshaw. The place can be visited from 7:00am to 4:00pm on all days.
