The Amar Mahal is located in Jammu and Kashmir. This palace showcases the majesty of the erstwhile era. This was originally constructed by a French architect especially for Raja Amar Singh. The palace belonged to the Dogra dynasty. The design of this stunning and spectacular palace resembles the grand Chateaus of France.
The amazing palace of Amar Mahal was made of red sand stone which is a beauty in itself. The attractive background of the place surely adds on to the beauty of this palace by leaps and bounds. As the River Tawi flows below and the presence of the Shivalik mountain truly increases the beauty of the whole place. . The palace was donated by Dr. Karan Singh to the charitable trust of Hari-Tara. Currently this trust is responsible for the maintenance of the palace. Recently the place of Amar Mahal was converted into a museum. There is a well stocked library also in the Amar Mahal palace.
