The Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh is located in northeastern side in India. The meaning of Arunachal Pradesh refers to "land of the dawn-lit mountains". This is the easternmost state of the country India. This India state is also known as the “Land of the rising sun”. The term Pradesh refers to a state or a territory. The state shares its border with the other states like those of Nagaland and Assam. On the international front the state shares the borders with many countries in almost all the directions. The State of Arunachal Pradesh, has the country of Myanmar located in the east, towards the south is Nagaland and the country of Bhutan in the west. The country of People's Republic of China (PRC) is located in the northern direction. The capital of Arunachal Pradesh is Itanagar. The Republic of China as well as the PRC has proclaimed that the northern portion of the state of Arunachal Pradesh as part of the Chinese territory, which has been included in the Tibet Area and Xikang, the Tibet Autonomous Region. The PRC has on many occasions declared the area as a part of South Tibet.
Most of the people residing in the state of Arunachal Pradesh are the people which belong to the Tibeto-Burman origin. A lot may number of people have also migrated from the other parts of the country India. A portion of the well known Ledo Burma Road, which was considered to be a lifeline to China, this was while the World War II was going on, is situated and passes through the eastern part of the state.
