Bassi wildlife sanctuary is a treat for adventure lovers and people who want to see nature at its best without any human intervention. The sanctuary is open to all for all the seven days of the week however the visiting hours are strictly from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. The place has an entry fee of Rs.100 per person and Rs.65-100 for vehicles. In duration of 2 to 3 hours visit, the sanctuary has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. It is home to a variety of animals like Fox, Hyena, Panther, Jackal, Crocodile, Cheetal, Porcupine, Wild Boar, Langur and Hare. If you are planning to visit the sanctuary during Indian winters then you may get a pleasant surprise as the sanctuary is temporary home to many migratory birds like Cranes and Pelicans. These wildlife clicks can make a memorable album for the entire family. Surrounded by the rough and hilly Vindhyachal Ranges, the sanctuary also has the Orasi and Bassi Dams inside its periphery. These dams offer excellent picnic and resting spots for the family. In totality the sanctuary offers a cool retiring and silent place with Mother Nature at her best.
