Best Places to Visit in Winter

The winter season is knocking on our door and the winter vacations are about to begin!! Well if you haven’t still made up your mind, then we could make it a little simpler for you. There is plenty of tourist destinations available right within India, which one can visit. For those of us who were not aware that Kerala itself has 5 honeymoon destinations which offer a perfect romantic holiday. Let us explore a few holiday places.

Kerala: God's own Country

The Indian state of Kerala has everything to offer to a tourist, right from the spice gardens, the beautiful sun-kissed beaches, the tea plantations, the backwaters, the profuse wildlife, the ecotourism and the Ayurvedic massage, to top it all. The backwaters in Kerala offer a very unique and a traditional set up where one can enjoy and explore the traditional Rice Barge as they move along the backwaters. If you are a beach lover then one can enjoy visiting the Kovalam beach.  For exploring the backwaters you could visit Alappuzza, Thekaddy and Vembanad.


Goa is the smallest state in India with the largest heart. The place is located between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea offers a very unique cosmopolitan culture which is enjoyed by one and all. There are many beaches located here which can be enjoyed and explored. The place is well known for the lively and vibrant night life and the hippy culture. The best time to visit Goa is during the Xmas and the New Year Season.

Kashmir: Paradise on Earth

Dal Lake, Srinagar

Kashmir is also known as the “paradise on earth”. This is certainly a beautiful crown of the Himalayas. In case you are visiting Kashmir and not visiting Dal Lake then your trip is not yet complete. The ride in a Shikara in the Dal Lake should be a must to be done in your do to list. The best time to visit the place is during the winter season, when one can enjoy the beauty of the snow capped mountains and the lush valleys. The beauty of Kashmir is simply indescribable in words. Kashmir is well known for the Mughal Gardens.  A few places to be visited in Kashmir are Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Srinagar, and Sonamarg.

Kullu And Manali

Kullu and Manali are by far the most visited destination by the honeymooners. Rohtang pass is well known for the adventure related activities like paragliding and snow skiing. Upon visiting the place one can see old historic temples and beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit the place is during the winter season.
