The Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary is a platform which is located a few kilometers away from the park. From this place you can see this point one can see animals such as the barking deer, Leopard, flying squirrel, mouse deer, Sambhar wild deer, Porcupine, Wild boar and wild dog. These animals can be commonly seen in the national park.
There are a few birds which can be commonly seen in this park like the Emerald Dove, Golden Oriole, Indian black woodpecker, Grey headed myna, Grey jungle fowl, Emerald Dove and the Drongo.
Many interesting and pretty butterflies can be seen here like the Common Mime, Crimson Rose, Plain tiger, Blue Mormon, Common Mormon, Plum Judy and the Tailed Jay.
Snakes are quite common seen here the park is well known for snakes, especially the black cobra along with other reptiles such as the Rat snake, Malabar pit viper, Indian cobra, Indian Rock python are some common reptiles.
If you would like to spend a night here then you could stay in Molem in the GTDC Dudhsagar Resort. The Non AC The guest house has AC as well as Non AC rooms, which are priced at Rs 45/- for a Non AC room and Rs 600/- for an AC room. If you wish to reach the place by a public transport, then you can take any bus to Ponda, and later change to a bus to Belgaum or Londa, and then get off in Molem.
The entry fee is Rs 20/- for Adult, Rs 10/- for children, Rs 30/- for camera. The best time to visit the place is from October to March. The visiting hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
