Bhedaghat is well known for the grand, attractive and magnificent waterfalls and the marble rocks. These marble rocks in Bhedaghat are as high as 100 feet which are located on both the sides of the river Narmada. Once the sunlight falls on these marble white rocks and casts shadows on the serene waters, the place looks completely divine. One can see the beauty of the place during the daytime and at night these white marble rocks look totally grand and majestic as they appear to be spotted with black and dark green volcanic seams and they looks quite magical especially under moon light.
The water from the River Narmada flows gently through these lofty marbles rocks, however after a certain distance the water becomes quite but a little distance away, it becomes quite chaotic. It is because of this disturbing nature of the water, the waterfall has been aptly named as 'Dhuandhar'. The Term Dhuandhar means 'the smoke cascade'. One can figure out the power of the waterfall by the roaring sounds of the falls, which can be heard from quite far off too.
