Chhattisgarh is an Indian state and is located in Central India. The state was created on the 1st of November in the year 2000. This was created by dividing the 16 Chhattisgarhi-speaking southeastern districts in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The capital of Chhattisgarh is Raipur. Not many of us are aware that this is the 10th largest state in India, which is spread in an area of 135,190 km (52,200 sq mi). Chhattisgarh is also the 16th most-populated state in the country India. The state is believed to be an important electricity and steel-producing state for the whole of the country.
Almost 15% of the total steel produced in the country comes from Chhattisgarh. The state shares its borders with the other Indian states. In the Northwest of Chhattisgarh is the state of Madhya Pradesh, in the west is Maharashtra, towards the south is Andhra Pradesh, in the east is Orissa, northeast is Jharkhand, and in the north direction is the state of Uttar Pradesh.
