The Venugopal swamy temple and Malleswar Swamy temples in the township of Chirala are very old built in the early 16th century. These temples earlier did not have any chariots, so Chirala Ramanna Panthulu later built two chariots for these temples. Many other temples are also present in Chirala which attract large number of devotees and tourists.
