The City palace in Udaipur in considered to be one of the biggest palaces in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The palace was originally built by Maharana Udai Singh in the year 1559. As you visit the palace you will observe that the palace is a beautiful blend of Rajasthani as well as the Mughal style of architecture. One can see quite a few number of majestic gateways which depict the culture and traditions of colorful state of Rajasthan. The city palace has been witnessed to many rulerships of the kingdom of Mewar. Besides the main palace one can also see other places of tourist attraction which are the Durbar Hall, Jagdish mandir, Amar Vilas, Badi Mahal and Moti Mahal.
The City palace is known as one of the most expensive monuments for visitors from all parts of the world. It is believed that said that a single viewing of the full palace can cost an individual anywhere up to INR 10000 per person. There is anentry fee of INR 115 INR per person. The palace can be viewed from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM, on all days of the week.
