The Lal Mandir is a Digambara Jain temple which has been solely dedicated to the ‘digambara’ sect of the Jain community situated in Chandni Chowk. As you visit the temple you will notice a bookstore which is quite well known and has an amazing collection of books on literature which focus on the religion Jainism, primarily. One can also find many other items like souvenirs and other archival collectives and collections which can be purchased and can be either taken back home and gifted to your near and dear ones as a small token.
The Lal Mandir temple is known to be a very peaceful place. One can see many beautiful paintings which adorn the walls of the Lal temple and make it look prettier, especially in the evening hours. The main temple is situated on the complex which can be reached by climbing up a flight of stairs which lead up to the first floor, this is where the shrine of Lord Mahavira is placed, along with the other statues belonging to Lord Adinath and Lord Parasnath. People generally donate candles, fruits, grains and rice as these items are considered to be very important offerings.
