The valley of Dzukou is located at the border of the Indian state of Nagalandand Manipur. The valley got its name from the words, “Angami or Mao which means cold water and there is a stream that flows nearby and the water of that stream is freezing cold and this flows throughout the valley. The valley is known for the beautiful flowers, which blossom in the spring season, natural beauty and the flora and fauna of the place, which is well known for the bamboo brush and the carpet of flowers which cover the entire valley from the period of June till September.
The very rarely found Dzukoulily is only found in this valley. This valley is located a height of 2438 meters above sea level, right behind of Japfu. This is considered to be one of the best trekking spots, amongst all the North Eastern states. The valley is located at a distance of 30 kms from Kohima.
