The Fateh Jung ka Gumbaj is actually a five-storied tomb, which belongs to Fateh Jung, who was a decorated warrior belonging to the Khanzada clan of Alwar. He was a well known minister in the court of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This is a structural splendor which is a very fine amalgamation of the Hindu as well as Islamic architecture. As you visit the place you will notice that the tomb is housed within a huge garden and there is a school located at its one end.
The tomb has been sculpted out of sandstone and is surrounded with minarets on all sides. The tomb is a very fine statement in lyrical immortalization, and brings into existence the perpetual existence of Fateh Jung, which also denotes the archives belonging to the history of Rajputana. There is no entry fee for visiting the Fateh Jung ka Gumbaj. One can visit the place on all days of the week from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
