India as a country is well known for quite a few things especially for religions, festivals, and the architecture that one gets to see here. Let us explore what all should you do while visiting this heritage country.
1.Enjoy the festive spirit:
India is the land of festivals and there are many festivals held here all throughout the year. One can see the excitement in people and enjoy the way festivals are celebrated in India. Be it dancing on the streets on Ganesh Chaturthi or playing with colors on Holi, or lightening diyas and candles on Diwali, there are many ways of celebrating festivals. All the festivals are celebrated with the same zeal and enthusiasm.

2. Unwinding yourself on the Beach
There are many beach holidays available in India which you could opt for. One can see many picturesque beaches where you can relax and unwind yourself. Some of the best beaches are found on the western coast. Goa is a major tourist destination and is visited by people from all over the world. Similarly places like Kerala , Gorkana and Varkala are also well known tourist spots.
3. Visiting a Temple
India as we all are aware is a spiritual country and one can see and explore many ancient and heritage temples, located in almost every village and city. The temples in India are not only marvelous but some of them also have very intricate carvings. The Khajuraho temples are one such example. The other religious places are Jama Masjid, Budhhist Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya are few. There are many sacred places like Varanasi, Rishikesh and Haridwar which can also be seen.
4. The miraculous Architecture
As you sight India, one can see a blend of modern as well as contemporary architecture which is visible in the palaces, havellis, forts and the temples. Some very fine examples of architecture are Mumbai which has several building of colonial architecture, like the Victoria Terminus railway station. In the state of Rajasthan one can see the colorful old havellis, and old forts.
5. Enjoying a nature walk:
One can visit many pleasant gardens and enjoy taking in a walk here. Many gardens are located in New Delhi too. Some of the good gardens worth visiting are the Mughal gardens, the Garden of Five Senses. In Delhi, one can visit the Hanging Garden and Kamla Nehru Park.
