On the banks of river Falgu is situated one of the most important pilgrimage of India, Gaya in Bihar. About 11kms away from Gaya is Bodh Gaya, the place where Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment and preached his first sermon. It is the home to the world famous monument “ The Mahabodhi temple”. Built like a “Stupa” with a magnificent statue of the Buddha sitting cross legged, this place also is a beautiful location with greenery all around.
Another tourist attraction which one must not miss is the Jama Masjid, the oldest mosque in Bihar and the Chinese temple which is near the Bodhi temple and it is an exquisite example of Chinese architecture decorated with Chinese designs.
