The Hall of fame enables an individual to get a glimpse of the rich and colorful culture of Ladakh and also to appreciate the very tough life lead and the sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers, who have been in Ladakh over the past two decades. One can get an insight about how the Indian soldiers have been fighting against the wars of terror and infiltration.
The War museum in Leh also brings together the different worlds which co-exist in Leh under the same common one small roof. While the appearance of the museum makes it looks more like a stupa from a distance, the museum looks more of a geometrically shaped which has with sharp definitions, and is made of sharper with the cannon placed right in front of it. The museum is divided into different sections, the first part showcases the vivacious cultural and the natural heritage of Ladakh. One can also see on the display the information about the flora and fauna of Leh along with the information about the people, their way of living, their rituals which they observe and festivals which the people celebrate. There is an entry fee of Rs 10 per person for Indians and Rs 50 per person for foreign tourists.
