Situated in Delhi’s Mehrauli village, Hijron Ka Khanqah is known as one of the rich historical masterpieces in Delhi. The Hijron Ka Khanqah meaning the “Spiritual retreat for eunuchs” houses graves of eunuchs. When you enter the place through an iron grilled gate, you will step into a courtyard that houses around 50 white tombs of eunuchs. You will also see a mosque in the west. The chief tomb among all tombs lying in the courtyard is covered with a roof. This particular tomb is of Miyan Saheb, sister of Sheikh Baba. The eunuchs of Turkman Gate, who still believe in the spirituality of this place, have maintained this place well. They come to visit it only on religious days to distribute food to poor and needy.
