Almost half kilometer from Bara Imambara, there is another tomb called as Hussainabad or Chota Imambara. This was constructed by Mohammed Ali Shah in 1832. As the name suggests, it is smaller in size than Bara Imambara. The design and structure is beautifully crafted and the whole tomb is a wonderful piece of art and has been adorned with calligraphy. The atmosphere here is truly aesthetic and the place is quiet and beautiful. There is also a beautiful garden inside. In the garden there are two replicas of Taj Mahal too. These replicas are the tombs that were constructed by Mohammed Ali Shah’s daughter and her husband, later. One can see the silver thrown and the red crown of Mohammed Ali Shah which are still very well preserved. There are a number of chandeliers hanging inside on the roofs. There is Satkhanda means seven storey tower which is in a decaying state and is still incomplete in its structure. This is perhaps the tallest tower in India. There is also Baradari quite close to this place where you will find an artificial lake and huge portraits and pictures of Nawabs of Avadh. The place should be visited if you are traveling in Lucknow.
