The final resting place of Ibrahim Adil Shah II and his wife, the Ibrahim Rauza is located beyond the Mecca gate, Karnataka on the western side of the city. The most magnificent of the buildings constructed during the reign of Ibrahim II, during the late 16th and early 17th century, the mausoleum is built of red stone. Legend claims that during his reign there were more than sixteen hundred mosques in the city.
An ornate doorway acts as the entrance to the Ibrahim Rauza complex. Once inside you come across a mosque to your right and the tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II and his wife to your left.
