The Jagannath Temple, Alwar has been dedicated to the Hindu god, the preserver of the universe, Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is the main deity and he has been worshipped as the form of Lord Jagannath, a deity which is worshipped mainly by the Hindus as well as the Buddhists. In this temple also god is worshipped as a part of a triad, known as Ratnabedi, along with other gods like Sitaramji and Jankiji.
The temple is visited by many devotees, all throughout the year. Maximum numbers of people visit the temple while the Rath Yatra is going on. It is during this procession that Lord Jagannath and Jankiji are taken out around the city in a chariot known as Indra Vimana. The festival is considered to be the annual wedding celebration of Lord Jagannath and Jankiji. This is quite similar to the Jagannath rath yatra which is held in Puri, Odisha. Lakhs of devotees visit the temple and strive to be a part of the festivities and celebrations
There is no entry fee for visiting this temple. The temple can be visited on all days of the all days of the week from 7:00 AM - 8:30 PM.
