The Jagatpita Brahma Mandir is one of the very uncommon and rare temples which has been dedicated to the creator of the universe, Lord Brahma. This is in fact the only temple which belongs to Lord Brahma in the whole of the world, thus making ia all the very popular and important too. The temple is very old and is almost 2000-years old and is located on the banks of Pushkar Lake. The main structure of the temple goes back to the 14th century. The structure has been primarily carved out of marble. As you visit this heritage temple you will see a red canopy or shikhara of the temple, which is also a very prominent, is a landmark for the city. Thousands of people come to worship Lord Brahma and take his blessings. As per the Hindu mythology it is believed that Lord Brahma killed a demon by the name of Vajranabha, with his flower. A petal of that flower fell here. It is also believed that the Pushkar Lake has emerged from that flower. As per the legend it is also believed that Lord Brahma married a girl and he completed all the rituals on his own and did not wait for his wife too.
