Jahangir Mahal situated in Orchha was built in 17th century by king Vir Singh Deo and named after the Mughal king Jahangir. The palace holds an admired and impressionable structure. The structure of this place reflects a mix of Indo-Islamic architecture has heavy yet light three high towers, porches, domes and hanging balconies.
Two stone elephants with hanging bells on eastern entrance and hunching male sculptures add glore to beauty of this palace. The best time to visit this palace is from October to March as the temperature remains cool and pleasant in between these months. One trivia is prevalent for this palace that it is also known as Rani Mahal, Citadel of Jahangir, Orchha Palace, Mahal-e-Jahangir and Jahangir Citadel.
