Named after Jahangir, the Mughal Emperor who legend claims stayed here for a few days, the Jahangirabad Palace, Lucknow is now partly in ruins. A sprawling building set amidst fruit orchards and gardens, the palace is a popular tourist spot. The elders of the area recall their younger days, when they could pick fruits that were growing in the palace grounds. Elephant rides to the palace added to the charm of visiting this place. Once a splendid place, the palace is still worth a visit, even though there is not much of that splendor remaining.
