This very important place of religious significance of the Muslim community, is located in the beautiful locales of Srinagar and visited by millions of pilgrims and tourists alike. Bringing you much closer to the presence of Allah and the Almighty, the Jama Masjid is located in the heart of Srinagar and arguably the oldest and largest mosque across the whole of Kashmir. The foundation of this great architectural wonder was laid down in the year 1398 A.D. by Sultan Sikandar.
The sprawling complex of this mosque is large enough to bring together more than thirty thousand people, at a single point of time. Along with paying reverence and offering their prayers to God, people come here to view the Indo-Saracenic architecture of this mosque. Another highlight worth a look here, is the beauty of the 370 wooden pillars adorning its majestic courtyard.
