This reserve is created by the continuous and dedicated efforts of the Wildlife Aware Nature Club in Tumakuru in 2007. Tumkur is the very first protected area.This Jayamangali Blackbuck Conservation reserve is also known as a home for the Indian wolves, jungle cats, gray mongooses, civets and so many other small mammals, apart from the blackbucks.
