Jharkhand is one of the three newly formed states in India that was created in the year 2000 by separating it from Bihar. There was a lot of tribal population in this region and in order to serve them in more efficient manner, the state was created. Although the state contains huge amounts of minerals such as coal, copper, iron, and many forests and industrial areas, it still remains an underdeveloped state due to various reasons.
The poverty, corruption and the Maoist and Naxalite risks are causing many troubles to the state. However for travelers there are quite a number of places to see in the state. Although many places remain a matter of concern because of security issues yet you will find a plenty of safe and secure locations to see and enjoy.
