Kangra is the administrative capital of the district Kangra. It is one of the most happening places in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The place is very well known for its Brajeshwari temple and attracts hundreds of devotees every day. People from the nearby states often visit this temple and pay their devotions. Kangra has a very nice market and those who enjoy shopping often have a good time here. The Kangra fort is another major tourist attraction here which is located slightly outside the main town area.
The fort was built by King of Kangra, Mughals and even by Britishers before the 1905 earthquake impacted its structure. There is also a museum in the fort that appeals to many people. Kangra is a happening town and is located at the centre of many tourist spots – Dharamshala, Palampur, Mcleodganj, Nurpur etc. Kangra is well connected by road fromPunjaband Chandigarh and even with train route fromPathankot.
