Kesariya has an important historical tale to narrate. Where Buddha donated his bowl, this is the place which is rising 10 storeys out of the land. The archaeologists keep working on this site year after year to preserve the second tallest Stupa of Buddha. The structure is quite brilliant and you can see the nine peculiarly shaped terraces from the top of it. These terraces form a Buddhist tantric mandala with a large circumference of 425 meters.
Thus, the Stupa is amazing and is one of the greatest works of those times. If you want to visit the site you can go from Patna by taking a shuttle or you can also hire a private taxi. This is just an hour long drive from Patna and therefore doesn’t require much time to thoroughly explore the place.
