The Khatu Shyam Mandir as the name suggests is a temple primarily dedicated to the Hindu God, Khatushaymji, considered to be an avatar of Lord Krishna in the current times. The Khatu Shyam mandir is a temple which has been dedicated to Barbareek, who is believed to be a version of the son of Ghatotkacha, and the grandson of Bhim. Both of them are well known deities and they are both worshipped and well regarded in the Indian state of Rajasthan. As per the Hindu legends it is believed that Barbareek had been blessed by Lord Krishna himself that in the years to come, he would be known by the name of Krishna and the title bestowed upon him was Krishnaji. Lord Krishna has declared that whosoever even took the name of Barbareek sincerely, all his wishes would be fulfilled and he would be free from all bondages. The temple is visited by many people both locally as well as from all over the country.
