Killar is a place located in the district of Chamba, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This is also known as the headquarters of the Pangi sub-division. Killar is located in the deep and narrow gorge of the Chenab river. One can reach Killar through the Sach pass. Killar as a place is visited by many trekkers, who love to explore the mountains and enjoy the land of the pretty faces, scenic beauty as well as the beautiful dances.
A few prominent trekking routes are those from Killar to Kishtwar in Jammu & Kashmir, Umasi la into the Zanskar valley and in the South-Eastern direction to Keylong and Manali. White trekking to Lahaul one crosses this valley and comes across a beautiful place known as 'Purthi' which is known for one of the finest nurseries and historical rest houses located on the right bank of Chenab river.
