You would get predominantly vegetarian food in Shirdi and most of the locals here are vegans since it is a religious place. The Shri Saibaba Sansthan has a prasadalaya which is a favorite among the devotees who visit here for spiritual reasons. The food is very tasteful and is prepared in the largest solar cooker in the world for thousands of visitors coming here every day and is offered to them at INR 10. The Prasad also includes laddoos made in pure ghee as well as a variety of nuts, sweets and condiments. You would be amazed to know that the temple shops sell more than sixty thousand laddoos in a single day. The Santhan office is open from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M. and you can purchase laddoos from here anytime during this period.
