The Mall Road in Shimla is known as the main street in Sikar. Shimla is the capital city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, India. This road was originally constructed while the Britishers were ruling India. Shimla was the summer capital of India in those days. The Mall road is located at a level below the ridge. One can still see the offices of the Municipal Corporation, police headquarters, fire service, and which are located on the Mall road, besides the departmental stores, showrooms, restaurants, book shops and cafes which exist in plenty there. There is a very ethnic Himachal emporium which has on display lovely items belonging to the Himachal handicraft like the pottery, Kullu caps, shawls as well as jewellery. Vehicles like the trucks and cars are not allowed on the Mall road, except the emergency. People love to walk on the Mall road and enjoy a stroll.
