Maravanthe, a small and scenic beach town near Kundapura, Karnataka, attracts visitors from near and far and is one of the highly solicited travel destinations in the region. Located at an easy driving distance of about 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Udupi, Maravanthe can be approached by NH-66—that runs right alongside the beach. This beautiful road is flanked by Suparnika River that flows on both sides and this creates a spectacular scenery –just one of its kinds in the sub continent!
The beautiful river Souparnika takes a U-Turn in this town and goes on to join the waters of Arabian Sea, a little towards the west of Maravanthe. This journey of the river continues for almost 10 kilometres (6.2 mi).
