Mulshi Dam is located in the Mulshi Taluka which is an administrative division of the Pune district of Maharashtra. The dam source is the Mulla River. This is one of the biggest dams which water is used for producing electricity and irrigation. The dam presents spectacular views. The construction of the dam was begun in 1920 and completed in 1921. Today, it is one of the major tourist attractions of Pune. The relaxing environment of the dam soothes mind.
There is a resort “Paradise Café Mulshi” near the dam that was a palatial bungalow once. The resort every room windows gives spectacular views of the Mulshi Dam. To encourage place as a hot tourist spot, an agro tourism project organizes by farmers of the area where they have made beautiful tree houses, plants, flowers etc. Water rafting is also encouraged at this beautiful destination. It is truly a worthy place to visit.
