The Nagin valley is a lovely and an attractive meadow which upon visiting you will feel refreshed and certainly amidst nature which surrounds you from all corners. The place was initially closed and was later opened for tourists and locals after a period of 22 years in the year 2012. The place is still quite unexplored also a virgin terrain ready to be explored.
The place is visited by quite a few people for trekking and many camps are also available with all amenities for a comfortable stay in the valley. The journey to the valley, passes through the Gulmarg-Botapathri road, and is quite interesting too. Driving through the clouds is truly a wonderful and a superb experience. As you visit this place you will notice that the mountains change their color as the sun makes its journey towards the west.
The grand peaks looming towards the south of Nagin valley are the last stretches of Indian land right after which the LOC begins, which is only 5 km away. There is no entry fee for visiting the place and can be visited on all days of the week from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
