Nalbari is a town which is located in the Nalbari district, in the Indian state of Assam. This town is renowned for many temples located here and these temples do constitute a very important part of the travel itinerary of the town of Nalbari. The town of Nalbari is visited by tourists from all parts of the country as well as International tourists also. The town of Nalbari is well known for the natural surroundings and many places can be enjoyed and explored in an around the beautiful town of Nalbari.
One of the very well known temples in the area is that of Lord Krishna. The temple is known as Billeshwar Temple. This temple is located in the town of Nalbari and is a very prominent tourist attraction. This temple is 500 years old. There is an annual festival which is also known as the “Raas festival."
Besides a temple there is a Buddhist temple located approximately 20 kilometers from the outskirts of the town. Other places to be visited are Basudeb Devalay, Sripur Devalay Mandir, Daulashal-Temple, Shiv Mandir and Sri Kali Devalay. There is a 14th century rampart known as the Fenguwa Rampart which is located in this area.
