Nathula pass is a mountain pass situated in the Himalayas. This pass connects Sikkim wit Tibet. The word Nathu means Listening ears and La means pass in the Tibetan language. Towards the Indian side of the pass is the Indian state of Sikkim. The pass can only be visited by Indians, after they get a pass in Gangtok. This is one of the three open trading borders, located between the countries of China and India.
The other two trading borders are Shipkila in Himachal Pradesh and Lipulekh (or Lipulech), which is located in Uttarakhand.
