The Pin Valley National Park is located in the Spiti area in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This is a very prominent national park and is located in the cold desert area of the Spiti valley, in the districts of e Lahaul and Spiti district. This was originally declared as a national park in the year 1987. The park makes a natural habitat for many snow species especially the Snow Leopard and the Siberian Ibex, due to the high slopes of the park which are full of snow most of the year round.
The National park spreads towards the south of Dhankar Gompa, which is located near the Tibetan border. The Pin National park also marks the border between the districts of Lahaul and Spiti. The vegetation in the Park is quite scanty as the temperature is quite cold and also because of the high altitude.
