The Prayer wheel is a sight meant for gaining a spiritual experience and is known to be a spiritually moving offering prayer. This wheel of prayer is enshrined within the premises of the monasteries in the Leh region. The experience that one derives by visiting this place cannot be simply described in words. The prayer of wheel is located near the Leh Palace as well as all over the region, and is brimming with the Buddhist monasteries and one can constantly hear the Tibetan prayer wheels which are also known as the Mani wheel which are always full of powerful mantras. It is considered that the sight of a mantra is as effective as this is being recited.
The prayer wheel has been given a lot of importance in the Buddhism and these wheels are very important for the Buddhist worship and prayer. The prayer wheel is always moves in a clockwise direction and the mantras are revolved in such a way which facilitates the viewer to read them in the order they are supposed to be read and also following the direction of the sun. It is believed that the wheel spread the message of harmony, blessing and compassion.
