Rail journey in Spain - itinerary question
Posted on Jun 27, 2013 by
We will be travelling to Madrid and then to Southern Spain in October/November this year.
Our tentative itinerary is: - 3 nights in Madrid - 2 nights in Toledo - 2 nights in Cordoba - 3 nights in Sevillia - 5 nights TBD - walking area or add a night or two to Seville. - 2 nights in Granada - 1 night in Malaga and flight home from Malaga in the morning
We were wondering whether this is the logical organization of the journey - for example, I see that to get from Cordoba to Sevillia, we have to go back to Madrid. Any first-hand experience doing this? We are willing to travel by train or bus.
Recommendations for walking area? For walking, we are looking for somewhere with easy walks and accessible to home-base by bus or train. At any rate, somewhere small-town or village! We have found a couple of possibilities - Grazelema and Competa.
We are budget travellers. We prefer to spend money on nice meals and museum visits, etc. than on hotels.
