The Rajasmand Lake is located at a distance of 66 km to the north of the city of Udaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The Lake was originally constructed on the River Gomti by Maharana Raj Singh in the year 1660.The Lake is also known as the Rajsamudra Lake. One can also see the mound of beauteous white marble which decorate the southern end of the lake thus making it appear like a dream.
As you visit this place one can see the collection of 27 marble slabs on the mound which is also known as the 'Raj Prasasti’. This collection relates to the history of the Mewar Kingdom. There is no entry fee visiting the Rajasmand Lake. For those of you who are fond of nature and would like to know more the golden era this is the right place to be in.
