Ranthambore fort is a world Heritage site famous for the courageous glory of Chauhan dynasty. Located between Vindhya and Aravalli hill ranges, Sawai Madhopur. The visit to the fort is physically exhausting but worth the picturesque view. The fort is believed to have been in 944 CE and is believed to be one of the strongest forts in the country. This was occupied by Raja Hamir for quite a few years until the army of Allaudin Khalji captured this fort in the year 1301 and then forced the Rajput king to surrender.
As per the historians it is believed that women committed jauhar, or self-immolation, for avoiding the enemy hands.
