Sanwariaji temple of dark skinned lord Krishna is situated at a distance of about 40 km from Chittorgarh on the Udaipur-Chittorgarh Highway. It is a place of religious importance and worth visiting for the religious experience that it offers. It is advisable to plan an early morning trip to the temple and within duration of 30 to 45 minutes the entire temple can be explored to one’s satisfaction. Famous for the religious importance, it is second only to the the Krishna Temple in Nathdwara. The pilgrims keep visiting it all year long to seek the divine blessings. A strong divine aura encompasses the entire temple and one can feel the positive energy being generated inside. The temple has importance for all sects but it is considered most auspicious for the businessmen. It is believed that the “Marwaris” or the prosperous business class of Rajasthan have struck a deal of profit sharing with the God. Presently the temple renovation work is in progress as a grand new temple is going to replace the old structure. In this new structure, provisions are being made to house the devotees who wish to offer their “Seva” to the temple. The renovation however offers no restrain to the visit.
