The Savitri temple is an old temple which is located in the city of Pushkar. As you visit the temple you will notice the walls of the temple are very old and people believe that the temple existed when gods freely roamed in the state of Rajasthan. The temple has been dedicated to the wife of Lord Brahma, Savitri, and the Hindu goddess. As per the Hindu mythology it is believed that the goddess Savitri climbed the hill as she was upset that Lord Brahma, her husband had married twice. In order to pacify Savitri Lord Brahma granted her the wish that she would always be worshipped before his other wife, Gayatri. This is same hill where Savitri has walked upon, where the temple stands today. One can see many devotees who come to visit the temple and take the blessings of goddess Savitri.
