The Seven sisters states in India

There are seven states located in Eastern India which are also known as the seven sisters. This is also the tribal region of India.
1. Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh is a state in Eat India. One of the major tourist attractions in this state is the largest Buddhist monastery, Tawang which is located at an altitude of 10,000 feet above sea level. One can see an interesting collection of many Tibetan paintings, known as thangkas.
This is the largest and by far the most accessible out of all the north eastern states in India. Assam is known all over the world for tea and tea gardens. Guwahati is the capital of Assam. The major tourist attraction of Assam is the Kaziranga National Park, where one can find the unique Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros.
One can find as many as 16 major tribes in the Indian state of Nagaland. The state shares its border with Myanmar. The best time to visit Nagaland is during the first week of December in which the festival of Hornbill Festival takes place and in the first week of May in which one can enjoy the Moatsu Festival.
Manipur is also known as the Jewel of the east and is located below Nagaland. One can see many scenic valleys and hills here. Imphal is the capital and that is surrounded by wooded hills and lakes. The major festivals of Manipur are those of Lemon and the Kachai and the Kang Chingba Festival which is also celebrated.
Meghalaya is also referred to as the Abode of the Clouds, was once a part of Assam. This is considered to be the wettest places on earth. Shillong is the capital and is a very well known hill station. One can see several waterfall, peaks, lakes, caves, and ancient root bridges.
Mizoram is located at the bottom of the north east region of India. The landscape of this state is full of many deep gorges, dense bamboo jungles, rivers, and thriving paddy fields.
Tripura is neighbored by Bangladesh and is also the second smallest state in India. Agartala is the capital of Tripura. The major attraction of Tripura is the lake place of Neermahal.
