A visit to Tirupati is considered complete only after a visit to the Sri Padmavati Devi temple. Located a mere five kilometers away from Tirupati, at Tiruchanoor, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Sri Padmavati Devi, who is the consort of Lord Sri Venkateswara, the presiding deity of Tirupati. The rituals and pujas performed here are similar to those that are performed at Tirupati, like the ‘Kalyanotsavam’ which is performed between 10.30 and 12 noon daily. The temple is visited by hundreds of thousands of devotees and the daily darshan starts from 6.30 am everyday from Saturday to Thursday and at 8.00 am on Fridays.
