Suggestions for New York City

Hello fellow ,
My wife & I have been to NYC four times, and found the best way to acclimatize yourself with the layout of the city, is to take the Grey Line Red double-decker buses, which offers hop-off - hop-on features. It`s a quick way to see the city and most of the important sites. Sit on the top level (weather permitting of course). Be sure to buy your ticket at the official centre @ 777 8th Ave. (between 47th & 48th Streets). Do not buy it from a street vendor in case you loose your ticket. Be sure to keep it handy when you jump on & off the bus, you`ll need to show it. Suggest you take the Downtown, Uptown and Night tours, but not the Brooklyn tour (waste of time). They offer a 3-day super saver combo package.
At Times Square there is the Tourist Information site - great resource of information, brochures, maps etc. Our favorite place to eat is the Carnegie or Stage Delis for great smoked meat sandwiches.
Hope your work colleague has a great time. We love NYC!
