The Takhat Sagar Lake has been named after the former king of the Jodhpur city, Maharaja Takhat Singh who was a king of Jodhpur in the 19th century The Lake is located near the Takhat Sagar Hills, which are located at a distance of approximately 10 kilometres away from the main city of Jodhpur, in the Indian state ofRajasthan. One can also see the isolated Siddhnath Shiv temple from here as that is located between the Takhat Sagar Hills. The temple is frequented by many devotees every year. The Takhat Sagar Lake is also considered to be a part of the huge Kailana Lake. Takhat Sagar Lake is named after an erstwhile king of Jodhpur.
